Surgery for Macular Degeneration?

First time posting here.

My father-in-law, 87 yrs, has dry MD. What kind of treatments are there?

Injections, drops, surgery?

He says there is surgery for Dry MG but doctors don't want to perform it. Can someone help us out and give us a list of treatments.

Hi de-luke. I see you are in the US so it may better for you to make enquiries there as this is the UK and as far as I know, there are no treatments at this time for dry AMD unless someone else on here has any news and if so, they'll post in due course. Good luck.

Hi de-luke, as springcross has said it might well be different in the US but in the UK at present there is no treatment for dry AMD, only wet AMD, but I wish you well in your investigations in the US, Best wishes.
