Hello all,

Does anyone know what became of this possible lens that could help those of us with AMD / low vision?

Hi, I don't know about the lens but there are quite a few versions of "smart glasses" around now which are amazing.They are all slightly different and some will work better than others depending on one's actual vision /problem. Not cheap but if likely to be used for many years then works out quite reasonable i think.

I found YouTube vids demo of many types - blindlifesam was my favourite, he's clear and thorough.

Companies in UK will give free demos at home, we used VisionAid, there are others.

Your Low Vision Clinic may be able to prescribe spectacle mounted binoculars which would be cheaper.
