BRVO and nothing more the doctors can do

I have been having injections for over 5 years for BRVO right eye. Three years ago, November 2nd, after the injection, I got an infection in my eye. My eyesight has deteriorated since. I can not even see the largest letter on the chart. My doctor put an implant that slow releases antibiotics into my eye as a last resort. It has not helped and I am extremely sensitive to light now. This is causing extreme headaches. Apparently there is nothing more they can do. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hi spzzdout. I'm really sorry to hear that, how very upsetting and disappointing for you. I'm afraid I can't give you any advice but someone may be along soon who can. All the best. x

I would make a formal complaint to your hospital.

I would also consult a solicitor for damages.

The giving of injections needs to be reviewed and soon. Many people are suffering from botched procedures and severe pain and just accept it.

It also appears that this situation is being swept under the

carpet and we are at the hands of unqualified and barely trained HCPs.

I am very sorry for your situation.
