Is this your first injection? It's normal for vision to appear worse straight after an injection as the pressure in your eye went up and then down very quickly, however this should return to normal, the time varies but it should only take a few days. If you are concerned about your treatment, discuss this with your consultant.

been getting injections since 2018

Dr. hit a nerve last injection on Dec 29

had exstreme pain, staff didnt numb eye enough so felt pain for first time

distortion not going away so Dr. says caused by retina bleed not injection

Hello ricebet,

If you want a second opinion to discuss what happened on your last injection, you can request to see another doctor at your eye clinic. They can also discuss any treatment that may be appropriate.

As it has been a couple of weeks and the distortion hasn't gone, it is advisable to discuss with the eye clinic to gain advice

I've had a lot of Avastin injections - I've not had a problem with distortion post injection, and it's not a recognised side effect of Avastin
