Pain and light sensitivity after Eylea injection

Severe pain and light sensitivity 3 days after Eylea injection. Should this last this long?
Not usually. I have had a week of pain when they scratched my eye with the clamp. Also sometimes the iodine causes it.
I would ring your clinic just to be safe but otherwise I think the best thing is to use a new bottle of sterile soothing drops and give your eye a thorough wash out. Use it all. Then open another and put drops in 4x a day.
Your clinic should be able to put your mind at ease, you definitely don't want to ignore any possible infection. Good luck.
PS next inj tell them you want a good wash out. Use the soothing drops too. I use Hylotear as it's thicker than most and works well. I'm in UK and get it on prescription from my gp.
Hi, I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain, if the pain is unrelenting you must go to the eye clinic just in case you have an infection.
Check that your eye is not looking inflamed, as eyes right said using comfort drops, a cool eye patch to calm down the pain.
Please keep in touch and reach out if you need to.
Hope your eye will soon recover, it’s not easy.
Sending love and healing.

go to eye emergency dept immediately-this happened to me in nov 2019 after my 7th injection. I was found to have a corneal abrasion/allergy to iodine.-this happened after the eye drops wore off. It was so painful!! My eyesight disappeared -everything went white for a few seconds. I spent 7 and a half hours in emergency eye dept- i have never felt so frightened!!
I blame the clamp!!! I always take 2x Paracetamol 30 mins before and it does help.
