Just to update my dear friends that I have just had my first injection after my Endophthalmitis infection, I was quite nervous and made sure all the correct sterile protocol practises were in place,I was given a course of antibiotic eye drops a few days before and now for 5 days after, the injection was a good one and was given Iodine as it is the best protection against infection. The next 12/15 hours were very uncomfortable and no pain relief helped. I was surprised to see quite a large blood looking blister on one side of my eye, I have had bloodshot eye before but this looks different, just wondered if anyone else had experienced the same.
I’m keeping positive and know there is always someone suffering more than me.
So my dear friends, keep strong, keep positive and enjoy Christmas time with faith that 2020 will be kind to us all.
Love to all
Ann x

Thank you, we must try and keep upbeat although sometimes it’s hard with the restrictions we face, hope all is well with you and please enjoy every moment that you can,
Your words offer new support to us who sometimes get weary of facing these injections, even though these very injections are our only hope to maintain eyesight.
Lovely to receive you message, hope you are progressing well, have a lovely Christmas, whatever we go through we are still us despite our dodgy eyes lol.

Thank you Ann, good to hear you're getting treated again and that it went well - been worried for you x
Yes I've had a blistery looking area, it was just a pooling that dissipated eventually (it can make eye painful esp blinking).
Merry Christmas to you too and all the best to everyone for 2020 xxx
Hi Eyesright, so lovely to hear from you and your kind message, I really hope all is going as well as can be for you. Yes it was hard to blink and it looked so different to what I have had before. How do you get on with Iodine after injection?
I hope you have a lovely Christmas ahead and that 2020;will as happy and as healthy as possible,
