Very bad idea to go 4 weeks or more past due date. Hopefully the deterioration will reverse once you get back on schedule. You don't say what your are getting = Avastin or Eylea or something else.
Eyelea when I called they told me the last day is December 21 for Christmas holidays
I feel so bad about this scared Darn
Don't panic, stress won't help. Sending you a hug x
Eyelea typically has longer interval than lucentis - I've had both, had long gaps between, eye did get worse but recovered after next inj.
It was obvious using Amsler that things were worse - are you checking it?
You don't say where you are in treatment cycle - is next inj part of loading dose or ongoing treatment? Inj is 4 weeks overdue but how long n total since previous one? The aim is always to extend time between inj anyway. There is a set minimum time between inj but no max. (Loading dose may differ)
Key thing is the amsler. If you see significant deterioration press for earlier appt. My personal experience has been that eye recovered between inj but things differ between people.
I see the doc on Jan 6 I guess he took time off between Christmas ...and New Year ....I wish they would work on getting a pill for this Would eliminate this awful winter driving.. trying to remain calm,it’s an ongoing treatment
What are loading dose ....is that a preloaded syringe ?
Usually when you start inj you get first three spaced evenly each 4 weeks apart. It's called the loading dose. Then 4 weeks after you get checked and they decide if you need another and if so how long before next inj.
Got it ..I’ve had this for a few years now and I go every 4 /5 weeks,... thanks a lot for the info,I have a feeling he won’t be impressed but we do the best we can ....
