AMD and Stearoids....what's the reality?

I have had wet AMD for about 5 years and have had 22+ injections. After my last scan I was told I also had CSR - Central Serous Retinopathy. On checking I found that my Asthma Steroid inhalations could make it worse, no only that, but the same medication might make my AMD worse!! Help, what to believe; what to do?

Dear maryparry,

It would be worth you contacting your ophthalmologist and discussing your concerns.

Kind regards,

Hi maryparry. I have wet AMD and also have asthma so use steroid inhalers. No one has ever suggested they could cause problems with AMD at the eye clinic.

Best wishes.
