I am totally sick of these injections and wonder if they are worth it.

Painful eye injections
I'm having one today. I've been thinking how much more comfortable I'd be feeling about it if the anaesthesia had always been totally effective and I'd just felt pressure rather than a sharp prick, and that the clamp always got put in without scratching the surface of the eye. How much easier it would be all round, both for the patient and the injection administerer who, presumably, doesn't have an easy job with a nervous patient barely knowing how s/he is going to be able to hold still. And couldn't we be allowed just a few really effective painkillers for if we really need them?
Without the Eylea though, I'd probably have lost over ninety percent of the central vision in my right eye as I already have in my left.

Kind regards,
You need to see a doc who administers numbing drops before an injection. Can't believe anyone would go a 2nd time if they didn't have that! I've had shots for 6+ years and always my eye was numbed before. See my other posts, relaying my current situation, so you can be aware of other possible complications. Let me know you found the post(s).
