Painful eye injections

Are any of you aware that some doctor's numb the conjunctiva and then put something like a que tip with numbing agent on it under your upper eye lid then they put the eye drops in three steps to numb your eye before the injection.

Yes this is the procedure I receive: three numbing drops , then wait a few minutes , the two cotton swabs dipped in litocain

then wait about 3 minutes then the eyelea injection. I feel nothing. This RS does not administer a numbing agent by injection because of the greater risk of infection he said. It does not have to be painful! For me the best solution (after plenty of painful ones) was the swab plus the allowance of enough time before the injection to allow the numbing to take effect. Wishing you all kinds of good luck with this.
