I attended the clinic today and Eyesright was correct last week when she said we notice some vision loss just before a new lot of oedema- my oedema was much more today than on the scan 10 days ago. I was supposed to be seen before today but no appointment arrived and when I rang yesterday they found they had misunderstood and thought today's (routine) appt was the new one!!
Any way, I had an injection and have been moved back two 8 weeks. I am relieved it seems not to be a new occlusion( one diagnosis last week) but have to be patient mow and see if my vision improves in the way it did when I started injections. Fingers crossed. Eyeright, I hope your cataract operation is on track- do let us know how you get on

Hope very much this latest injection improves your vision. They so often do. I find it worrying that oedema can increase so much in a short while. I hadnt realized. Our monthly scans are imperative.
I think if you check your vision - Amsler grid is useful- you get warning of the oedema and can turn up at eye casualty or your clinic !! Hope you are doing well

Hi rosyG I had a similar experience when I had to wait over 4 weeks from diagnosing a new leakage to getting my injection. During that time I noticed a sudden massive distortion in my vision and a dark grey patch in my central vision. Now, almost 3 weeks after the injection the distortion has gradually become less prominent but the dark patch is still there. My VA is 20/80 or 6/24 at present and hope it is not due to permanent damage. This has never happened to me before during the 2 years of treatment except at the beginning before the treatment had started. It goes to show how quickly the problem can, though may not, develop. I have now been given another injection appointment 6 weeks after the last one.

it's good to hear you've had some improvement and I hope it continues- it shows we have to be vigilant- the problem seems to be we notice things (Eyesright recalled a similar experience to mine) before it shows up on the scans. Hope you get on well
