Appointment: My 8 week app was due last Tues... - Macular Society
Appointment
Hi jjnan
I am amazed how difficult it can sometimes be to get an appointment even though we have been in the system for months or even years. I have never heard of a lucentis secretary before. Does that mean they have an eyelea secretary or an avastin secretary as well? The mind boggles!!
Anyway, I am glad you managed to get your appointment for now. Hope all goes well for you. xx
First i've heard of one as well.... but when they asked me if i'd like to speak to him i just said yes please lol ..i'd speak to Mickey Mouse if he could get me an app hahaha x
My clinic has secs who arrange general appts but a separate one who schedules inj. Sorry, I hadn't thought to mention this, I was given the inj sec no. on my first visit and thought that was standard, didn't realise thats not who you were speaking to at your clinic.
Glad you got sorted x
Not heard of a Lucentis Society either. I succeeded in getting an a appointment in the right time frame, but had to write vv strong letter to head of Trust, copies to Consultant, GP, MP, Macular Society helped too; extra clinics were arranged. V good idea to join local group too, to see how others manage. Good luck!
