Optical drusen

Hello,

I have drusen in both eyes from the age 11.. My right vision is minimal.

I was told by the hospital nothing can be done with second options from eye specialists I was left to deal/cope which I have in a way... Until now

I am now 34 and worried for my left eye.

Is there any new fandangled technology that can save my left eye??

I suspect that you may have a macular dystrophy?

So sorry to hear of your predicament, Helen. You are so young to deal with this. Have you gone back to the hospital lately? For what it might be worth to you, I am sure you are aware that drusen can cause AMD, in which case something could be done. Do have it checked out. My heart goes out to you. Dear Helen how sad for you! What a nitemare, I went for a second opinion at the London eye hospital in Harley street in London. They have very advanced technology now. There are two doctors called Qureshi and I think you need to see Bobby Qureshi. Google him and see. Good luck and I do hope something can be done 💜 Hugs from squinty xx
