We’ve been contacted by Beverly Coghlan, research fellow in Primary Care Medicine at the University of Southampton with details of a research study that needs participants. Please take a look below and contact her if you are interested in helping out.
What’s the purpose of this study?
They’re undertaking research on the possible uses of placebos in clinical practice and they would like to obtain the views of patients to inform their research.
What will I have to do if I take part?
People with experience of being a patient will be invited to attend a group meeting with up to nine other patients. The group will be facilitated by trained health psychologists. The group sessions will last no more than two hours and travel expenses will be reimbursed (The location of the meetings is not currently decided and they will most likely be centred around areas will the most applicants). The meetings will take place around the end of April – start of May (exact dates are not currently confirmed).
Who can take part?
Participants must be over 18 and have experience of being a patient.
