Coming out of remission.

I'm getting very down as I seem to be coming out of my steroids induced remission much more rapidly than before. I had 2 Kenalog injections, 1 last October and 1 in February this year and my rheumy thought that should keep me fairly well controlled for 12 to 18 months from February. However since October I've been having more flare ups, havegot the butterfly rash in varying severity and am having huge problems keeping my body temperature constant. In fact I've gone hypothermic twice in the last month alone. I don't want to pull my rheumy appointment forward to before Christmas as then I'd be on the steroids with all their side effects over Christmas. But have to say this rapid worsening is really getting me down.

Hi Helen

Sorry to hear you are struggling and it does sound like you are between a rock and a hard place, The run up to Christmas can be stressfull enough I think, but Lupus often wins in these situations doesn't it? What ever you decide, I hope all goes well.

Best wishes

Val
