Has anyone had experience of shoulder replacement surgery?

I had op on Monday and recovery is slow. Still not got full control of arm or feeling below elbow. This should have come back after 24 hrs. Docs think anaesthetic is slow to wear of due to the sle. Any thoughts anyone?

I had shoulder surgery in January. It wasn't a replacement but was extensive surgery with a 6 month recovery. I had a nerve block before being anaesthetised and this altered my post op recovery in terms of regaining sensation. If you had a nerve block this may be a contributing factor. Everyone recovers differently and I guess logically SLE could interfere with the recovery phase. Hope it sorts itself out and that you reap the benefits soon!
