This evening I'm experiencing a new symptom: the skin on my arms and legs feels like it is being pricked by tiny needles and it has the appearance of goosebumps. I'm neither hot nor cold.
Anyone with similar symptoms and if so, any idea what causes it and how to resolve it?
I think a few of us get this from time to time. It feels like someone sticking pins in you. I'm never quite sure if it is Lupus affecting the nerves or medication causing it. It seems to go quickly, so hopefully yours will be gone by Christmas day. Take care and have a merry Christmas.x
Thank you, it is such a weird sensation. It has improved slightly but it is still there to some extent. Just when I thought I'm on top of all the symptoms I usually experience with lupus.

Yes, I've had this too, mainly in calves and feet. No idea what triggers it but it doesnt tend to last long. Happy Christmas.
I get this a lot my lovely, like u say, it's a pain in the arse what with all the other things we have 2 deal with :0/
I have the same sensations, started in the soles of my feet and over weeks has now travelled to just below the waist. This sensation is there all the time and seems to be getting worse, insomuch that the prickling seems to be heavier if that makes any sense! Certainly the skin sensation to touch is far less, may I suggest, as I intend to, next time I see the GPwill ask for referral to neurologist. Try not to worry about it too much everyone seems to have it on a transitory basis, but in my case not so.
Have a good Christmas and New Year, suggest a couple of whiskeys may slightly alleviate the prickling sensation.

I'm afraid I also suffer with this 
sometimes it lasts a short time, sometimes lasts awhile! Have not found anything to relieve it though unfortunately. Just something else I have had to get used to I get terrible pins and needles to and also the lack of sensation on the skin. This is particularly bad on both my hips. Whenever I lie on my side I get the horribl sensation down my legs, and also if my partners touchsles there when cuddling I get the same sensation, so unfair! Hope it eases for you over christmas xxxx
