Hi ,catb18 No, l have had no side effects from tramadol have been on them for 2 years, and found they work fine for me, although l dont take 2 at one time, instead of taking 2 every 6 hours, l take 1 every 3 hours or if l feel l dont need one l dont bother.I have found when l am in a flare or feel l am having a bad time, l take one before l get out of bed in the morning , as l found they always taken an hour to kick in. And this really helps me first thing. I have had 2 capsuls when in a really bad way, but leave me feeling a bit doped. Do hope this helps your question. Lucy-May

I took tramadol. They were great for the pain, but I had intense itching all over my body. The doctor gave me antihistamines and I was told not to take them again.

Hope that helps xx

I used to take them, also the drops which I found easier to adjust the dosage with. As long as I didn't take too much I had no probs. Otherwise a bit dopey!

They make me too nauseous and dizzy to function - which I understand is fairly common - not a fan I'm afraid but it's worth trying everything offered. Opiods are generally better for your body than corticosteroids and better for your tummy than NSAIDs. Good luck!

They make me spaced out if I haven't taken them for a while, the first few doses r the worst, I also get the shares between the bedtime dose and morning dose. Like withdrawal but they are ace for the pain, my leafy hand and right toe joint are agony at the mo, so thinking I will take some tonight .xx

I can't handle Tramadol at all. I just feel drugged on half a dose. Consequently my GP has said although I am not allergic to it, I am over sensitive so he has listed it as an allergy.

I can't take Tramadol either. Can't exactly remember what happened when I did - I think it make me sick and/or gave me migraine headache. Think I was taking it for broken shoulder.

I took 2 Tramadol this afternoon for the first time. I had been taking 1 twice a day to help ease pain after a fall but decided to up the dose to try and bring some relief.

Never again!!! I have felt so ill since I took them and been very sick too.

I think I had every single side effect going when I took Tramadol, apart from trying 2 top myself! I only take them in extreme circumstances now, then only half the dose, along with anti sickness pills & I make sure after about 2 hours of taking them I'm near somewhere I can have a lie down lol! On the other hand, a friend of mine takes 2 every 4 hours with no problems whatsoever.

Im prescribed Tramadol 100mg 3x daily. I get a lot of pain at night time so when this becomes too much I take one Tramadol and it knocks me out cold for around 36 hours.

I dont take it as prescribed as I would always be asleep!!!

Hi I have never had any side effects and have been talking them for about 15 years, I take 2 each morning and 2 at night. Sometimes I need 2 midday and they seem to be the only thing that works for the main pain from my Spine opp. I was put on them Because they are part of the 'opiate' family and they Block the pain from my back to my brain. They are a blessing for me and I am so lucky to have had No side effects.
