I have just been to my GP with quite severe muscle pains, and wondered if it was Lupus related. He said no, as Lupus was a joint disorder.
I am afraid i couldnt cope so called the rheumatolgy dept, and and spoke for the first time to the Lupus nurse, who was was wonderful, and clearly explained everything for me, and a prescription is on its way to my surgery.
I cant thank Jane enough for her kindness and understanding, but i am rather cross with the GP.
Have others had battles with their GPs?
I have to go back to the surgery tommorrow, and i dread going,
Any tips to overcome feeling stressed at going to the doctors, i just feel i am a nuisance....

Just been through the same experience,am waiting to speak to reumy.Just been vilently sick. How can we not get stressed? If only somebody could tell me,no wonder we get depressed.Good luck.
Most of my Lupus pains were to do with my muscle, heart, lungs, and the tops of my legs, and a few joint pains. I'm sorry you dread going to your GP, when this all started for me, GP'S did not know what was going on and did not seem to care
until one day on the phone crying with the pain i was in, i was told no more appointments, i went mad lost the plot total break down, slamed the phone down. 2 mins later a GP phoned me back got an appointment, they have been great since. It was a shame that things had to go so far.Good Luck
