does anyone else have a pproblem with silent gerd along with their lupus?

my rhuemi sems to think i have it as i have had a cough without infection for over 6weeks and it effects my breathing yet she thinks it isnt serious. confused

Hi Kerri ,I too have had a dry cough but for a few years and it has just got worse, I have had lung scans,lung function and the latest was a barium swallow which showed, hiatus hernia and oesophegal reflux. I have been taking Lansaprazol for 5 weks now and it has done nothing I am going back to my GP next week.I do take ventolin as well does help a bit, but I get so fed up with coughing especially when talking and after eating .Hope you can get yours sorted as it is very annoying . Anyone got any tips ?.

sounds very similar, my cough seems to get bad after eating and talking too. Since it started ive felt breathless yet inhalers dont really help, they just bring on another coughing bout. Just waiting to hear back about yet another referal fingers crossed Hope you are having a good day
