I have SLE but have been told there is no organ damage. Have just received an appointment through for the Uro Gynaecology dept. No warning about this from my consultant. Have to monitor fluid intake and output - should I be worried about this?

Of course you are worried, who wouldn't be?

But try to think that your consultant is doing his or her best for you. It doesn't necessarily mean anything drastic is wrong.

Sorry you have SLE.. that's good you have no organ damage, your doctor/consultant will monitor you to keep ane on everything, its all positive for you becaiuse if anything shows up they catch it quick+get the correct treatment..I've had lupus for nearly 6 year now+i go to my local nuirse every month to monitor my bloods etc..I find its worth it and its good to discuss any problems your having, I'm at the stage now I know when I have an infection,I can feel it..Good luck and I hope you keep well..x
