Yes Yes Yes does it feel that you head is in a fog,I'm affrad it happens to most lupus people and as you have fibro as well.
Do you get headaches as well???
i get terrible migraines .... but its the 'fog' it scares me... i can be in the mid flow of a conversation and just stop because i dont know what im saying. I feel such a Pratt, but more so im worried this is going to get worse and im going to loose my mind with it Can anything help it or stop it??
Yes me too! my mind goes blank but I am putting it down to old age now!!!
Please try not to be scared. Lupus can be managed and some aspects of it could get better with old age. Just slow down and use a notebook to remember things. I do and it seems to help.
My memory has gotten progressively worse. I assume it's the fibro / lupus fog. I used to have a very reliable visual memory especially and now I just can't be sure about anything. Very upsetting. Don't know that there is anything to do about it. feel quite useless in this regard
Hi. I too have memory issues and like you find myselt stopping mid sentence not knowing what I'm talking about.
I have trouble with recall when I know that I know the answer to something but just can't pull it from my brain. So frustrating
Sometimes I think I remember something that took place a while ago, when infact it didn't happen at all. False memories.
and I have a nasty habit of interrupting people and butting in because if something pops into my head that I feel I must say then I have to say it straight away otherwise I forget it in a insant, as quick as a light switched off
Brain fog is a common symptom; but it could also be something 'other'. Must rule out other degenerative disorders. In some cases the progression of the deterioration can be slowed or held at bay with pharmaceuticals.
Best to consult with your doctor/s.
A cognitive function test can determine area of brain effected. Cognitive therapy may be prescribed. Cognitive therapy can be very effective at limiting the frustration of memory issues.
