Lupus and memory problems.: Has anyone experienced... - LUPUS UK
Lupus and memory problems.
Yes! I have had an awful time with short term memory loss as well as trouble focusing. I also get confused a lot, especially if I'm stressed. I used to think this was a hypothyroid thing but that all tested out fine. I've since been diagnosed with Lupus and Addison's disease so I'm guessing it's from the Lupus. It's very frustrating!
Hi. I have been wondering, too, about the forgetful episodes and the blanking out when doing things I know well. It does make me feel stupid at times. I would also be interested in more information.
It is probably important to remember that it is not normal for you to be forgetful and tha t you may have identified a symptom that could help in your treatment. Thanks for bringing this up.
yes all the time. just posted on that subject myself

Confusion, difficulty in articulating thoughts and memory impairment are common symptoms that are associated with lupus; it is referred to as ‘brain fog’ or ‘lupus fog’. Stress, anxiety and fatigue are a few examples of the causes of brain fog, you can find out more about this in our blog article ‘Coping with Brain Fog’: lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...

Hey, oh yes forgetting the name of things... one of the symptoms of Lupys is cognitive dysfunction. Or as us lupies call "brain" or "lupus" fog. Its commonly bought on by stress or flare up x
Classic symptoms unfortunately.
