When you're middle aged,
how can you tell if it's Lupus Fog or the usual Middle aged Madness?

I guess the "good" thing about lupus is we'll never know when we've reached the usual middle aged madness.
Brilliant question - I've been thinking the same. Would love it if someone could answer. I reckon all those around me (especially my kids) think it is my age.
Another question would be about the night sweats - how do you know whether it is Lupus or the onset of menopause?
Have a good day.
I did lol when i read this Ive had the middle age fog since being diagnosed with the old lupus!!!!! I like to call it my continuing senior moments (am only 45!). It gets me out of all sorts of trouble..... ha ha xxxxx
I am 56 diagnosed with SLE 3yrs ago, I started the menopause 6yrs ago, I have never had a good memory, but has got worse through the menopause and even more so with the lupus. I could be talking to somebody and mid sentence I would forget what I was saying and look at them with a blank expression and they would look at me waiting for light to come on again. Only the other day went to put my washing in the washing machine and guess what I found I, my cheque book, my husband shook his head, I wounder how far you have to go before they get the white coats out, you have to laugh, I have made a lot of people happy with my miss haps. All keep well
Lol. My memory seems to go from one extreme to the next - either excellent or terrible. I reckon sometimes I get blamed for forgetting things when it's not quite the case though. Perhaps others are just as afraid they may have the memory loss of middle aged madness
