its now 1 45am and the third nite i have been unable to sleep. gettin a bit hacked off with it now, as im, so tired, my cheeks are burning, and my head is banging, any suggestions guys xx

Oh sweetie I feel your pain! Im sorry you are not sleeping, I too am struggling with insomnia. Have you tried warm bath before bed, making a hot wheatbag/waterbottle, soothing milk drink, drop of lavender/chamomile/frankinsense on a tissue near your pillow... Ive even resorted to over the counter brands that aid sleep?

i have had meds? but had a reaction so i had to come off them,im qiute stressed at the moment so that not helping either, so i will stay positive and hope to get some sleep soon, thank you for your kind words

I really feel for you, I've been in the same position so many times. I don't know about you but with me it is a viscious circle, cant sleep> get stressed> get tense> dont relax = no sleep. Deep breathing helps a bit and relaxation techniques. Have you been given any meds? Amitryptiline helped relax me. Anyway, hope you sleep soon and let me know how you get on. Take care, Jax.
i have tried amtriptaline, but had a reaction to them, but yes they worked for a while.
i think im just stressed which doesnt help,i did think of trying aroma therapy, but again have to be careful about the oils used,perhaps another visit to the doctors if it continues.

hi sorry to hear you cannot sleep,i have the same problem, all i do now is get up and play cards on my computer or watch television,sometimes i fall asleep in the afternoon which can be a bit dangerous as i have put pans on then fell asleep.
Like you i get annoyed because i want sleep but do not get it,

i have tried the telly and computer, but i think some time when you get so tired, and your stressed it makes it ten times worse.
i do usually have a nap in the afternoon, under advise from the hospital. and it has helped in the pass, but this bout of no sleep seems to be really affecting me,
never the less i do try and stay positive. And it is nice to know that you can talk to people who are suffering in the same way, thank you for your kind words
