No missing him! Fabulous outfit. So sorry, I've been struggling badly and seem to have missed what has been going on with you but very pleased that you have had the treatment you needed and are on the mend. xx

Ah, a bit like the character in Winnie the Witch who lived in a black and white house but then had a black cat! Sadly, started to vomit (hadn't vomited in 17 years). Now off it and told to rest the tummy for a couple of weeks but am in a right mess. Chest pain, high abdominal pain, look like death warmed up but just managed to get a hospital appointment for tomorrow. They mentioned pancreatitis (I know AZA can cause this) It's getting overwhelming. I am exceedingly lucky in the care in my area but really would like to conquer this beast, just a little. How's the leg? Are you home?x

I found it vicious and was pleased I switched to the mmf.The ankle is extremely painful. 60 mgs of codeine and 10 ml of oramorph still havent totally eased the pain.More needed to be done then expected as the torn ligament had got stuck in the ankle joint so the joint has had to be cleaned out before the ligament could be reattached using titanium anchors.in plaster non weight bearing now for 6 weeks . Still in waiting for ots to come physio have finally been and given me a zimmer frame to hop around with. I could do with going home today for hu as mat goes back to work tomorrow . Someone is coming to walk him but won't be able to get in x .

Ouch! What dramatic surgery, was this Lupus related? Fingers crossed you manage to get home soon. Are you able to live without going up and down stairs? Is there a neighbour or safe place to leave keys? It's a worry with dogs, I've had to rush arrangements for tomorrow - dog walker and villagers.

I will mention mmf as I am reluctant to try AZA again. I pass out when I am going to be sick and sometimes I don't get enough warning to get down on the floor. Hell on earth but so need relief from this chest and abdominal pain. x

No I fell looking after mum in Dec 2023 and snapped the ligament ex cept for a few fibres . Had to do physio and steroid injections first but subsequent falls finished it off completely. I also torn the peroneal tendon last summer. He said if he could see he would repair it if not it will mean a 2nd op. I'm saying no to Lupus related but steroids can affect ligaments and tendons. I've turned my front room downstairs into a bedroom but my stairs are steep in a 150 yr old house.thats what I'm waiting on the ots for...a Commode. There is a key safe in the yard but the gate is swollen with all the damp. It's more that mat goes out to work early and is out for 13 hrs. .I hope your consultant will consider mmffor you as clearly aza isn't suitable xx

Do let us know when you're home safe and sound. Hugo will be beside himself to see you. Nothing like a furry hugs to start the healing process. xx

Well, I have a couple of things to say - How the heck did you keep a Springer still enough to get his beautiful snuggle on him? I am in awe. It really suits him and you defo won't lose him now unless he goes into another ultra violet dimension, but then I expect that'll be the pain medication working if that happens 🤔 I'm so glad you've finally been sorted out with the physical issues that have been plaguing you. I suspect that "imaginary" (to everyone who is lucky enough not to have it) auto-immune thingy will be feeling a bit starved of attention so that'll kick in or step up, sorry for the vocabulary, just to keep you on your toes - sorry yet again. I now wish you a quick recovery - if that is even possible. Thank you for literally brightening my day with Hugo. Wishing you as good a day as is possible. Waving the wand to everyone from here in Suffolk 🧚‍♀️

Thought youd like it Cav. Very easy can put it on in 30 secs...head in front legs in ,pull it down his back and back legs in. The other 2 had them and as soon as they come out of the cupboard they knew they were going out. Windproof and waterproof he now has 3..2 in the wash 1 to wear. Thank you. Recovery is at least 3 months...6 wks non weight bearing in plaster 6 wks in a boot but I heal slower so who knows.

Xx

Best wishes and prayers for healthy recovery. Hugo looks like he’s ready for a hunt! I love it. Just be so very careful and baby yourself. I had something very similar in 2016. Just remember to move very slowly and scoot on your backside if you have to! xx

Hugo definitely stands out. He looks fantastic in his winter suit, I have one for my lurcher but we’ve had to force him out in the garden just for his number 1 and 2’s so no chance of getting him out for a walk!

Take care

Wendy xx

Hugo will be rubbish at hiding but top notch at seeking in games of Hide & Seek!🤣 Super coat and very safe to wear in poor light.👍🏻👍🏻 So pleased your op was a success and I hope it isn’t long until the pain is under control to allow a comforable recovery.🙏🏻 Hoping you get home today and I know both your lads (human and furry) will be so pleased to have you back. 🤗xx

Sorry to have missed your journey, but what a lovely dog, hope you are on the mend.

Re drugs, aza made me so sick, but MMF has been fine. Good luck.

No worries. We rehomed him at 5 months old last year.I've been on mmf for 5 yrs now after developing drug induced hepatitis on AXA.

Had to have ligament reconstructed and joint clean out after torn ligament got stuck in joint. They reattached the ligament using titanium anchors. 6 wks in plaster 6 wks in a boot x
