HRT patches?

Has anybody ever had issues with using HRT patches with Lupus???I had no issues for first 2 months then for last 10 days I've need heavily ( haven't had a period for 18 months) as I'm in the menopause and the back pain is awful.

I'm seeing the Gp in a few days but wondered if anyone else has ever had issues or been told to stop using them ??

I am not on HRT but was told if I did need it I would only allowed a very low dose patch as it’s not recommended for people with Lupus. It maybe your dosage is too high.

I found the patches gave me some loin pain. Also the glue on our sensitive skin is a pain and left me with a rash and sometimes a little bruising each time I changed it. HRT gel is so much better and is infinitely adjustable as to how big and how many squirts you do each day. I just rub in to my arm every morning and its so simple. A bottle lasts ages too.

Hi there - this sounds like a heavy period related to the thyroid - Lupus and low thyroid hormone go together for some of us - when I corrected my thyroid dysfunction the Lupus tests went negative but then that is me - unfortunately your thyroid blood test will probably show you are Ok as in my opinion and that of others far more qualified than me the blood test criteria is skewed. Hope this helps.
