hi everyone hope you’re coping today

I have lupus and Fibromyalgia had Covid over Christmas new year still off what seems like chest or respiratory infection two lot antibiotics just finished now on higher gaberpentin 300mg dose due to pains and side effects seem worse than ever.

Drowsiness unsteady thinking memory anxiety about little things chest tightness waking more in night and dropping things and unsteady even with crutches bad pains when on loo bloating painful has anyone else been moved onto a different medication and found it helped them? Please

GP said give it time I see rheumatologist next week and wondered what other meds others have felt helped people just so if he mentions a few alternatives I can pick one to try.

How can you work with these meds?

I keep dropping cups plates dishes other half she said I could have Greek blood!

crazy amount of time off work I had last year this year months and now been 5-6weeks this time

Hi sorry to hear your having so many issues at the moment. I can’t advise you on the meds side of things but in terms of work I had to retire early from my career and now do a mundane job working from home. I couldn’t cope with the commute let alone working full time now but I’m older and I’ve had lupus a long time, so I guess I was ready to make the changes. I’m not advocating that you do the same but maybe it’s something to think about for the future? My ex employer wouldn’t have been able to make the adjustments I needed but maybe that’s another option for you, to discuss with your employer? Obviously this is all dependent on what you do work wise. I hope things improve for you!
