Struggling with knee and ankle Enthesis at moment. But last night woke up sweat at back of head and feeling like I could not get my breath.

Anyone had this .This is the second time now.

I wonder if it's because I keep trying to push and walk properly but to no avail keep being sore in feet with no swelling. Thanks

Hi Minka

I’m wondering if you are pushing yourself too much and this is your body saying it needs you to slow down. Maybe doing less for a few days just to see if it helps your feet and stops the sweats. Do you usually get sweats if you’ve overdone it? It’s a fine line between trying to do enough to help our muscles and joints etc or overdoing it - Lupus doesn’t make things easy for us to work out does it?! If my heel tendons are sore, I tend to slow down for a few days and start moving more once so it’s a bit easier to walk more normally. I figured that if they’re less sore then some inflammation has calmed and it’s safer and easier to walk, so I’ll not do any damage!

I’m not sure if that helps, I hope it eases soon ✨

No don't usually sweat like that it's been on and off more. All this from just a bit of ankle pain on inside leg. Then spreadingI see people leaning over walking better than me. Do you get numb foot and tingling due to your .I've got orthotics in and that doesn't help much.

If you can, check your temperature when you are sweating to see if it’s higher than what is normal for you. If sweating like this isn’t normal for you or isn’t part of a usual flare and your temperature is high then you need medical advice. We need to be mindful of infections - particularly if you are on certain meds. Or, if the sweating is related to pain, that needs checking out too.

Has any of this been checked out recently by your doctor or have you mentioned it to any part of your hospital team/rheumatology? Sometimes we can link symptoms that happen at the same time but sometimes they aren’t actually linked, or we can presume everything is Lupus related when it maybe isn’t.

Yes, I get tingling which is always there but it’s peripheral neuropathy, feet up to calves and some fingers. Thankfully, numbness hasn’t been an issue though (hope it stays that way). I’ve a relative that has numbness in her feet due to peripheral neuropathy and she is on some meds that are really helping her mobility. ✨

Will do when I see knee specialist. Walked round today and ankle was killing me. Not sweat at night though

Go steady, pushing through the pain isn’t a good thing. You seem so driven to do things, but go easy on yourself too, your body needs time to repair and recover after activity too. And if your temperature gets really high, do see a doctor.

Take care ✨
