Hi Sammyb246I have Raynauds, my hands and feet are always cold. I try to keep them warm by wearing thick socks and gloves. Even when it's sunny I still wear them.
My podiatrist said that it's important to keep your core body temperature warm as this helps.
This year I have suffered more than in the past, guess just have to get use to it.
It is quite normal for the veins on the back of your hands to become more prominent when you are warm or in the shower. Both being warm and warming up in the shower lead to increased blood flow and the veins dilate to accomodate it.
Hello Sammy2461I have raynauds, it started with a painful blueish discolouration on one finger. They all began to be painful and cold. Gradually I started having ulcers. I have so many treatment to manage it and I still have scars and flare-up but the ulcers are healed. I have to wear gloves always and socks to keep my feet warm. I have flolan infusion twice or three times a year. I also take sildenifil to help dilate my blood vessels.
I use charcoal activated hand warmers during winter. I put them in my gloves and they are helpful. I have struggled with raynauds for 11 years now and my only home remedy is to keep them warm. My gloves and socks are my best friends. Can't leave the house or go to sleep without them. When the weather is really warm I can manage without a socks but I will always have a glove in my bag.
