Hi guys sorry me again.

I'm currently trying taking prednisolone 30 mg have been for about a month now. The last couple of weeks I keep feeling weird sort of spaced out/ as if things don't feel real.

I am on alot of other meds too, has anyone else had thus??

At that dose, I think it would be unusual if you didn’t have those sort of feelings- very common side effect… but should decrease as your body becomes more used to the meds, and as you reduce them.

Might be with discussing with doctor and consider taking them before bed so you are are asleep and not so aware of them…the only issue being, Pred can disturb sleep…. So it’s a bit of a Catch 22 situation…

As DorsetLady says - it is a not uncommon experience. And it is worth trying taking them before bed - it works well for some.

a bit it’s your body getting used to the meds .. I was on them 5 years and they do help with energy but I gained 2.5 stone and I’m not tall so it looked like 3.5 stone ! Which made the joints worse.. I came off them slowly .. and really don’t want to be on them again .. I do think they are so strong! Best wishes

hey Sammy, I have also been on prednisolone 30mg. I have been on it before so I was prepared, you will have massive highs and massive lows, it seems to work alongside how you are feeling yourself and I have had something my kids call roid rage where I just can’t control my temper. It has also helped me massively with pain, I was immobile before I started taking them with joint pain. I am in the process of weaning them down I went from 30-20 and now to 10mg today. They are surely life savers but I don’t think the drs give us enough info on how they can affect our moods. Be kind to yourself and ask your dr if you can begin weaning as some as you can as it’s not good to be on high side long term. Sending you love and healing energy xxx

Hie Sammy, I was on them for a very long time and they helped me immensely in getting back on my feet. The down side was Yes they made me feel like I’m spaced out. It’s a horrible feeling like you are there but not there. I requested to be winned off and to be honest it was like a miracle, like I could feel myself again. I was amazed at how much they make you feel like a zombie if you take them for a long time at a high dose. Hope you feel better soon.
