anyone with Systemic lupus had disk surgery? Due surgery on C5/6 and C6/7 - abit scared more for afterwards. Having to come off mycophenolate for week before and week after and I know if I miss a dose it catches up a day later currently. Any advice appreciated for recovery 🫶

I have had two disc operations one before and one after diagnosis. Both were fine and the joy. Of no pain was incredible. The second was better as they managed bleeding better and I had more antibiotics to prevent infection. Just ensure they are aware.

That's interesting re mycophenolate. I haven't been told to stop mine and I'm having lumbar decompression surgery on 3rd March

speak to your consultant as both neuro and rheumatology said it would have to be stopped because of risk of infection and healing of wounds
