The Minister for Health and Social Services has requested the production of a Women’s Health Plan for Wales. The intention is that the Plan should help reduce health inequalities, improve equity of service, and improve health outcomes for women in Wales.

Fifty one percent (51%) of the population in Wales are women. NHS Wales want to reduce inequalities and for their services to reflect their community.

The Welsh Government recently published a Quality Statement on women’s health which sets out what the NHS is expected to deliver to ensure good quality health services to support women and girls through the course of their lives.

To help improve their services, they have produced a short survey that asks about your health, your life, your wellbeing, your experiences and what NHS wales can do to better support you.

Please take part in this survey at forms.office.com/pages/resp...

This is a big project that I’ve been working on with the charity FTWW and British Heart Foundation Cymru. Please take this rare opportunity to have your say say about all aspects of your healthcare in Wales.

The survey won’t take long.

Any queries please let me know.

Best wishes

Wendy

Thank you! Much appreciated! The survey is about all aspects of healthcare in Wales, so you can comment on literally anything, lupus care or women's health, mental health etc. The more replies the better! x

Seriously what healthcare? Sorry feeling sarcasm is the only way to describe my lack of care. It is not isolated to one specialism but across the board sadly. All except Respiratory who have been exceptional. Since my “ hysteria” diagnosis I am just treated like an inconvenience at best and mentally unwell at worst. Xxx

I know. It's appalling here, on may levels. Which is why so many charities came together to write a Women's Healthcare Strategy for Wales.... England had one already and were implementing it, Scotland had one, Wales wouldn't commit. But after receiving one written for them, they are now going to do their own.....I wont get excited just yet, the proof will be in the pudding. Big, big hugs. x

Oh that is good news Wendy. I think the NHS has been so underfunded and resourced there are issues for everyone everywhere. It begs the question though why some departments are exceptional why are others, Rheumatology especially, so abysmal? Thanks for the hugs, big Cwtches to you too xxx
