My ANA was negative but asking biopsy was positive for interface dermatitis ????
the skin doctor said possibly cutaneous lupus. Is it possible to have it on skin only and not in the blood?

Do you have symptoms like fatigue, fever joint paint?
Hi Nicole 3828
That is what happened to me - it was the skin biopsy that confirmed it - feeling "wrong" wasn't specific enough! Blood tests all OK. I am quite fortunate that I am nearly retirement age so I can find ways to manage myself. There is some research published in the British journal of dermatology which shows that people with cutaneous lupus can get some of the systemic symptoms even when blood tests suggest systemic things are not going on - so become an expert on what works for you. Folk on here have great advice and if you are working give HR all the Lupus UK info
Good luck and take care
