I just spoke to my haematologist and she mentioned that my last tests showed that my anti ro antibodies came back positive, and after further research I found out that they are related to lupus and other autoimmune diseases (I've been dealing with anti phospholipid syndrome too and erythromelalgia).
She is referring me to a rheumatologist but I wonder what I should expect? Anyone with positive anti ro antibodies and can give some advice? thank you x

Hi rokis 🤗I have positive anti ro and anti la too. Earlier this year I saw a rheumatologist who conducted a test to check for dryness. Think it's called shirmers test?!?! Anyway it consists of the doctor measuring the amount of secretions in your mouth and eyes.
Following my appt he mentions in his letter that I have sicca' symptoms..he also mentions the anti ro n anti la positive. I asked on here about me having Sjogrens and the response was yes..with those autoantibodies and sicca symptoms that gives a diagnosis. I'm yet to discuss it with rheumy.
I would suggest that you make a note in symptom diary of any issues with dryness..eyes, mouth, ears and lady parts.
You don't say in your post that you're anti la positive too..so if it's anti ro only then I'm not sure..but I would think that the rheumy will do the schirmer test as part of his/her examination. 🌈😽😽Xx
My anti ro been high for a couple years. Also a positive ANA. Many other auto antibodies are demonstrating illness. But nothing is coming together enough for a concrete diagnosis. Hang in there m, it can be a long journey to get diagnosed.
