Hi folks I took this picture last week on a walk through the woods that we often do- we see lots of squirrels that both Bea&Mira love chasing up trees- on this particular day I had caught Mira eating something among the leaves so I went over to see what it was and grabbed it out of her mouth- it was a mouldy peace of bread, the bread snapped in half and she ran off with the other half and ate it - she’s still a little minx and was half expecting a poorly tummy but she was fine. Wrap up warm this week folks and have a good week xx

The suit was Beas before she had puppies but now she has a mum Tum it dosnt fit her anymore so Mira has it 😂♥️ she never seems to get her feet dirty don’t know why as her mum does xx

I’m only teasing! Love the Mira pics and, if I miss them on the day, I catch it in my Daily Digest. I and my family are all doing fine. Starting to prepare for Christmas. Taking things slowly rather than having to rush around later. I am grateful for online shopping though as I have been finding it harder to walk recently. Bad pain in my back, hips and knees. Waiting for an x-ray but it could be a long time until I get one 😩 Xx 🐶 🦴

Mira looks stunning in her pink coat and ‘butter wouldn’t melt’ expression.🤣🤣 Murray was just the same trying to eat all sorts of rubbish when he was out. We are having such a lovely relaxing holiday thanks SV. Not much walking due to both weather and the fact hubby is still recovering from his ablation. But the apartment is warm and very comfy with all mod cons including dishwasher, so we are enjoying reading, listening to music and I’m writing the odd Christmas card too when we aren’t out for short walks. We went to Grasmere this afternoon to give the car a run after sitting in the snow and freezing temps since Saturday and now it has all melted and we have rain instead. Anyway, we enjoyed walking around Grasmere and I bought a few sheep themed items which, like Mira, always make me smile. Murray was only around 5 weeks old when we rescued him from a police kennels where he’d been taken after being found roaming the streets of Prestwick. He looked like a lab pup but as he grew he looked more like a border collie. You might remember seeing him in a few posts I put up of him. Here he is again as an adolescent with our cat Sally. It was love at first sight and they were inseparable until Sally died from a poison which the Vet said was common in weed killers. As we didn’t use any we assume it was from a neighbours garden. Poor Sally. When we got more cats when I went to teach on the islands he loved them too and protected them. I still miss them all so much but I have such fond memories of them all. 🥰 Love and hugs.🤗😘xx

How lovely that Sally and Murray got on so well - can you believe Mira has never seen a cat although my mum has a very elderly rescued cat we arnt allowed to visit if we have the dogs as mum dosnt want to upset their cat which I totally understand. How awful that someone had abandoned such a young little pup, so cruel but your gain 😍 I’m really pleased that you and hubby are having a very relaxing time away , look after yourselves xxx

Yes, Murray followed Sally everywhere even through the cat flap until he got too big and got stuck in it one day! 🤣🤣 You can’t fathom people out who would abuse or abandon animals and especially very young puppies.🤷🏼‍♀️ He was a lovely natured boy and loved cats but not other dogs after being attacked by them a few times from quite a young age. I wonder what Mira would make of a cat if she ever sees one. 😃 That will be interesting if it ever happens. Thanks for your kind wishes SV xx😘

I had a dog called Guinness, he was a Labrador/Collie cross. He used to eat anything he could find when we were walking!! Once we were on a school field n he ate half a sandwich which was still in the sandwich bag!! 😹 I never did see that bag come out of the other end of him!! 🤔😹 Enjoy those lovely winter walks 🌈😽😽xx

Mira looks gorgeous in her pink coat. Thats my fav colour!. Heartstopping moment you had svfarmer with her eating mouldy bread but so lucky no aftereffects. Don't they have to be watched like children. ?.

We're being entertained by a squirrel we've called cyril.🐿. He's been busy collecting nuts from our neighbour and then burying them in our garden in lots of different places. He's been so busy , wonder if he's seen the long range weather forecast?. 😀

I think mira would love to play with him.

Ive heard from the hospital today and ive been referred to the endocrinology dept for having this 2nd test. Im ringing them tomorrow to find out how long to wait?. 🤞its not too long as i do feel so poorly.

Hopefully you won’t have to wait to long for the hospital to refer you , they sound on the ball, I’m not surprised your feel so poorly , I did when I had all my adrenal trouble then I had about a year where I felt well then bang - very unwell, then diagnosed with Lupus - there’s always something isn’t there 😩.

I love that you’ve called the squirrel Cyril and yes Mira would love him- glad you enjoy the pics I post as I do like all the cute ones you pick too- look after yourself and have a good rest of the week xxx

Thanx svfarmer for your lovely, unders5anding message.

I phoned endocrinology today and they said they hadnt had rheumy referral yet so couldnt tell me how long my wait would be but she didnt think it would be long!. Im lucky my local hospital is a smaller , district one and they're very nice and on the ball. Couldnt say if it would be before xmas which is a bit of blow. Just got to try to get thru without being too ill and i don't want to worry my parents who are in their 80's and who i live with.

I just hope i havent got what you had svfarmer, sounds so awful and worrying. It must have been tough suddenly getting lupus diagnosed but probably a relief too.?.

Trouble is its easy for us to collect multiple AI conditions as different parts of our bodies become affected. Thats whats happened to me anyway and looks like im adding to the collection. 😪
