the wretched brain fog and short attention span put an end to my love of reading but I have finally finished crocheting a hat and scarf. a few rows a day and it's done. I have something to show for my time. unlike reading now where if I read a few pages at a time I would have to start at the beginning each time as I wouldn't remember the story.

my fight against brain fog and lack of concentration
Hi suzannah16 sorry to hear about not being able to read due to brain fog. I love the hat and scarf. X
Who is hogging all the duvet😂😂
Brain fog caused me to scrape my car in the same place 3 times in 6 months…. It was it my eyes… either way hubby was furious!!!!
Very beautiful set. I’m knitting again for similar reasons. Memory. Etc…. Quite an accomplishment 💜
Congratulations suzannah!! 🤗🙌Well done..I cannot crochet..yet!! Your hat n scarf are both beautiful n functional!!
Keep fighting!! 🌈😽😽Xx
That’s lovely and looks really well done! Such a shame about the reading but also nice to pick up a new hobby!
Now you need an audio book to listen to while you stitch. The work is beautiful.
I looks great Suzannah! I think you can sell these if you make a nice packaging for newborns, children, adults? Cashmere would be highly sought after or you can make mini dresses for newborns. I would buy it for my future grandchild( not here yet but I am hoping😇). Or dog outfits, I bought one for one of our pets, £15. The lady takes the order first and sends it back after she finished, our Pickle loved it when he was a puppy. Anyway, it’s lovely and enjoy wearing.. xx
So pretty and absolutely impressive! I understand your reading. That was one of the first scary things that happened to me - not being able to read. I was a teacher and taught kids with learning disabilities and it was like I became one of my students. I also have much difficulty with simple math. I could do more difficult math, but addition and subtraction went be the wayside. I actually was dxed. with ADD and memory, focusing, organizing, etc. is all very frustrating. I just know that I had many good years that I did not have those problems and how much harder for kids who start off that way. The world is not very kind or patient because again, it is something they can't see or understand. Sorry for rambling. Can't wait to see your next crochet projects.
Healing hugs.
Hi Suzannah I love your hat and scarf, lovely colours - I’m busy making Christmas jumpers for dogs as belong to a schnauzer Facebook group who are having an auction to help fund treatment for the puppy farm survivors x
Hi, that's wonderful! Bravo! Let me share my experience with you. I had a stroke on my brainstem seven years ago and suffered from such severe brain fog for a long while. Numerous things helped me to get better.Initially I tried acupuncture which brought a sense of myself back to me as I felt as though I was removed from myself the whole time. But since I could only go twice a week (apparently they do it everyday in China and Korea with stroke patients for the first month) I started doing acupressure on myself daily. After a while I also started deep breathing. I feel that breathing exercise has truly helped me gain clear thoughts and also get rid of headache. I do it whenever I remember and at least a few minutes. When I do breathing exercise for 8 or 10 minutes, it really makes a huge difference. It helps me with horrible fatigue too. You can find a radio programme on breathing exercise on last week's BBC World Service iplayer on internet. Please try and all the best!
I've tried the breathing and it just leaves me gasping for breath. but the acupressure is something i've been wondering about.
Super hat and scarf Suzanna, beautiful. Like you, I can no longer concentrate enough to read a book and I was an avid reader! Doing things with my hands such as baking, gardening and doing more stuff with the horses are fulfilling alternatives for me. Would love to see some more of your creations! 🧶 😘🤗😘
