Hi, does anyone know of a travel insurance company that will cover Lupus. We are heading to Greece?

Thanks in anticipation.

The last 3 times I’ve traveled I found policies through a comparison website medicaltravelcompared.co.uk...

You’re welcome Rushgreen. We’ve given up finding policies for the whole family that cover me though. Cheaper to shop around separately for the healthy family.

I always use Staysure insurance they cover people with Lupus.

Thank you for your reply. We looked at Staysure but found them expensive. I guess we have to get used to a new world of higher premiums!

I found Boots to be the best for me. With having cancer as well, it puts the insurance way up, the worst ones were the ones that were in the cancer book I got from hospital. It’s a total minefield, I’ve tried everywhere.

I just got back from Greece myself yesterday. I used Allianz insurance. I was expecting to suffer in Greece with all the sun but actually I had less symptoms and pain than normal which was odd but great.

Lupus UK has a list of travel insurance companies that donate to LUK if you take a policy out with them. The person who might be able to advise you (?) is Chanpreet_Walia

Thank you for this. We found the list and I think we have selected one that does a donation.

I'm using a company I found online comparison called GoodToGo insurance. They were very helpful and covered all the important health issues I have. We are going on a Carribean cruise for our honeymoon next year, so I asked for the maximum of everything, so mine was extra cost. Places like Europe would differ and be cheaper. Uk call centre too.
