Hi all, hope everyone is doing ok. Hope you don’t mind but can I have a rant? Today is big shop day and so far it’s been going swimmingly, have put a note on our online shopping account to say we’re shielding so please leave crates at front door, stand well back and we’ll pack our own bags and the drivers have been great. Well there’s always one and I got him today. Wouldn’t stand back and kept telling me that he was finished for the day. It felt like something out of the Generation Game, trying to pack the bags against the clock. I’m exhausted but worse than that he just wouldn’t stand back and no mask on. In fact at one point I looked up to find him leaning right over me. I said to him, we’re still shielding to which he said ‘I know that’s why I’m giving you space’. Eh????? No mask, no social distancing and it’s not even Monday yet. What hope have we got? Take care everyone🤗🤗🤗.

It seems that a lot of people have strange ideas about what a metre or 2m looks like.
A metre is about the length of a large trolley at Sainsburys/Morrisons. Two metres is the length of a coffin - a comparison I find quite appropriate really ...
Love this comparison Pro! Don’t mind if I use it?! X
Of course - hopefully it's dramatic enough to pierce the thickest mind. Hope springs eternal ...
I've been using it too!! 😹 Ever since u first wrote it..at the beginning of this madness!! Thanks Pro 🌈😽😽xx
I have a sign on my door telling people to stand back. doesn't work with shopping deliveries. what is it with them that they can comment but still loom over me? a new sign I think in time for sundays delivery.
I have to say my local delivery man is very good, but then his wife has MS and is also still shielding. But it is infuriating when people don't respect the hands, face space rule.
I'm practising my hard stare..it worked with the kids so fingers 🤞Before I even open the door I say "stand back would ya?...thanks!!"🌈😽😽xx
Froggie our new reality & testing our patience while trying to avoid this next wave of covid (even my gp is concerned for me)....
Something that's working for our home deliveries is we have a few plastic crates near our front door stacked (or collapsible) and mr. delivery chap puts down his delivery crate & we repack in our container while he collects the next one from truck & then on to the next one....
I should say the 'we' is my husband & daughter & I help unpack.... Thank goodness for our team work....i'd be exhausted if not... Or more so 🙄😁 ml
