Wisdom tooth: Having my wisdom teeth out Friday... - LUPUS UK
Wisdom tooth
Hi Harry it’s been a good few years since I had mine out but lukewarm salt water rinsing helped me. Best of luck and hope all goes well for you.
Ohhh sorry that your losing any teeth...make sure to get lots of novicane for numbness ....
Follow-up with paracetamol and/ or ibuprophen as anti-inflammatory and for pain relief. If tender cold pack for swelling or heat on face later (check with the dentist).
Gargling as Froggie mentioned with salt water, but make sure to let it heal abit before gargling.
Wishing well for Friday..ml
I had my wisdom teeth removed in my upper 20s. I had the best experience I could, if that makes sense. The dental specialist I saw (forgot his title but didn't go to a regular dentist) gave me a valium to take before I arrived. Afterwards, I just remember being so tired (someone had to drive me), and my mouth had a little blood in it for a few hours. But I really didn't have much pain. My root canal was worse for me than the wisdom teeth removal.
Just watch out for dry sockets. Those are suppose to be awful. Best of luck!
Like Klutzy I had mine out in my late 20’s in my lunch break and went back to work I the afternoon with no problems at all at the time. Now, when I flare my gums get sore where those teeth were - very odd. Don’t worry too much and good luck. 😁
Wow, you're a trooper to work right after it. I worked right after my root canal but my face was so numb I couldn't talk. Weird on the flares and your gums.
I only had one removed as it kept swelling my gum, got very painful. The dental clinic gave me information on paper as to how to look after my mouth, didnt have any problems at all. Good luck x
Good luck Harry xx
Have a bag of frozen peas to hand to reduce swelling and inflammation! 👍...but all going well, it should be fairly straightforward...be sure to ask for advice on pain relief just in case.
Let us know how you go! xxx
Hi HarryI had one of mine out at the dentist in November and it was fine. In fact it came out easier than one I had taken out from the bottom a few weeks earlier! Just follow the aftercare advice given by your dentist. Good luck, the anticipation of it was far worse than the actual extra extraction!

How’d it go today with the extractions? Hope it was as painless as possible.
