Sore gums

Hi I have been on mycrophenolate for nearly 5 months I am ok but my teeth and gums get sore has anybody ha that problem ?

Hey hope you are managing ok. I worked in dental for 20 years and never saw many cases like that. I get travelling mouth ulcers that caused me to clench to calm the ache. Warm salt water calms a lot of things. I am anal with my hygiene so I know it is lupus related. I often asked my Dentist to give me a rx for chlorahexadin mouth rinse. We use to prescribe it pre mouth surgery because it really cleans up the gums after a few days. Hopefully you can get some. It usually passes after a week or so. Keep brushing through the pain with a brush softened from hot water. It releases old blood so new blood can repair better. Good luck. 😬
