I’ve been inspired by all the crafty folk on here and as I’m at home on long term sick, I thought I’d give it a go!! This is my first attempt at felting and although it took me hours and kept me out of mischief, I’m pleased with myself!! 😜 Hubby was less complimentary but it created a few laughs!!

I did enjoy making it! I like creative activities but don’t normally have much time to devote to it. Surprising how much you become engrossed in sculpting matching legs!! I did struggle with those to be honest!! 🤪😂 hopefully my next attempt maybe a little mor ‘balanced’! 😂
🤣 yes it’s very time consuming especially if felting firm. The toughest part is to get things matching. Did your kit contain wire? It’s much easier to felt on an armature, a lot of kits come with polystyrene to say W on wool and is awful, made it even harder for my daughter to try or with just wool but it’s best to have a firm base of wool to start I think which is why armature is great. I love it and look forward to seeing your next one 👍
Hi Stiff. No, the pack didn’t contain any wire, just a foam base. Perhaps I need to look into a different type of kit. 🤔That’s probably why the oval body resembled more of a Cumberland sausage for the first few attempts!! 🤪
Don’t knock it, it’s your first go and very good for that 👍 I love it. You would be better to just get some wire and wool , be cheaper than a kit 🤷♀️ Keep up the good work 👍

Dolly had many siblings ?11. They were extremely poor. Their mom was very gifted at providing their needs which Dolly has made many songs about. One year Dolly received a hand sewn coat made up of many colorful patches from cloth remnants from previously used textiles. Dolly was so proud to receive that colorful coat stitched together loving by her mom.
She wore it to school and as other children often do they ridiculed her for that ridiculous coat.
Dolly wrote her famous song about that coat of many colors.
Dolly is very humbled by her poor beginnings...never vengeful or bitter. I just love her so much.
Whitney Houston is famous for singing one of Dolly’s big hits...I will always love you.

Lovely! There is an alpaca farm near me that sell crafty gifts, amongst them multi coloured felted alpacas- just like yours... they sell for £25.95... I can see you with a little cottage industry here!Xxx

Absolutely... they sell plenty at the alpaca farm - when we’ve unlocked I’ll take photos and share you’ll see then what they sell for.We can all do anything we want .. just takes that first step of courage then off we go.

Ha ha there is no race so you will find the mindset for patience.Hopefully not too long for opening as they are an outside animal attraction and just across the road, I’m friends with the owner so no problem. Maybe I should suggest a donkey - I have two real ones 😂
