Goodmorning all .

Please has anyone had covid signs and symptoms with a positive test ?( chest cough , sneezing , feeling generally unwell etc )

What treatment were you offer by your doctor ?

What is the nhs treatment of positive test with S&S ( patient unwell ) protocol?

Any home remedies you managed with to support recovery?

Quick responses and comments will be very much appreciated please .

Thank you

I believe I have Lupus, but no diagnosis as yet. I tested positive on 18 Dec. Wasn’t offered any treatment asides antibiotics as developed chest infection. I would suggest just resting and speak to your rheumatologist for advice.

Hope you feel better soon ❤️

I’’m really sorry but I can’t remember. I ended up on 3 different courses of antibiotics as chest infection wouldn’t budge. Wishing you a speedy recovery x

Yes positive on 16th December I had mild symptoms in the beginning but the fatigue didn't leave me for 6 weeks and I still don't feel strong enough. Docs gave me antibiotics amoxicillin. Take plenty of paracetamol. Drink lempsip. Keep your vitamin c topped up. Eat plenty of fruit and veg. I've also had terrible back pain in result of it which developed into sciatica and insomnia, hence I'm awake right now. Lupus is also flaring up again and rheumy doesn't care!

Are you on hydroxychloroquine? (HCQ) There are many studies which show that hydroxychloroquine and zinc can inhibit the viral replication and high strength zinc replaces the virus in the cells. I doubled my dose of HCQ for a few days. I knew this would be safe as this was the dose I was put on for six months when first diagnosed with lupus. This was what I did:

200mg HCQ TWICE A DAY (for 3 -5 days)

45mg (elemental) zinc ONE PER DAY (for 3-5 days)

1000mg High strength Vit C - ONCE A DAY (for 3-5 days)

Vit D is also recommended but I didn’t take this.

I was only in bed with a temperature for one day. I really attribute that to taking all the above.

If you don’t have any HCQ either Quercetin or EGCG (green tea extract) are recommended as they are both zinc ionophores and will let zinc into your cells. So you must take the zinc whichever option you use.

EITHER

Quercetin- 500mg twice a day

OR

EGCG - 400mg once a day

This is not medical advice, it’s my own personal experience which I’m sharing with you. I hope it helps.

Ok thx please where will I get the green tea extracts both types ? Thank you .

Holland and Barrett or online health food shops You will find Quercetin is often combined with Vit C so you can find supplements which cover the Vit C intake too. The brand Solgar are good.

I’ve only bought green tree extract online.

Check that the EGCG content is high enough as it isn’t in all of the ones you will see.

Ok so green extract with high EGCG is what I should be looking for . Please any indication of how high the ECGC should be please?

I am very grateful

Thanks

As above I was told: Green tree extract with an EGCG content of 400mg taken once per day
