Hi everyone I've just joined the group. My GP is convinced I have SLE lupus. I've had an MRI, Ultrasound and many blood tests this year. I finally have a phone call booked with the Rheumatologist tomorrow and I'm hoping for a diagnosis. I was in a right state last week, so my GP contacted the Rheumatologist and now I'm on steroids prednisolone for the pain etc. So I'm a bit nervous
SLE: Hi everyone I've just joined the group. My GP... - LUPUS UK

Hi.first of all dont panic...lupus is manageable dont expect too much tomorrow there are no quick fixes here....its often a case of many rounds of bloods etc and treatment plans take months to start to work.
Prednisolone is often a starting point along with hydroxchloroquine maybe pregabalin or gabapentin for pain.im on prednisolone, hydroxchloroquine and mycophenolate.write down everything you can think of symptom wise and any questions you want to ask.ask what a treatment might be .at the end repeat what theyve said to get it straight in your head and remind them ! There will be alot to process so take your time and anything you dont understand we are here to ask.its a long process so patience is a virtue.google the spoon theory .good luck xx
Hi and welcome to the group - there are a lot of people on here with some really good advice. Hope your phone call goes well tomorrow x
