It’s Mira Monday 🐶: Good morning everybody- we... - LUPUS UK
It’s Mira Monday 🐶
🥰🥰🥰....Couldn't agree more SV.i had our 2 long before becoming ill and we used to be big walkers.when I became ill people said I'd have to get rid but i refused.they keep me moving....regardless of weather ( lying in bed listening to the 💦 right now 🙄) I have to go out , they are my best friends,my company especially in winter when I dont see many and Marley curls up with me when I'm not well ( millie still demands frisbe time).they make me smile with their expressions and their energy is infectious. Wishing you a good week with Bea and Mira x
Lovely pic too of Mira a farmer. Very cute she is like the otters!. So glad she and Bea enhance your daily life. Keep well and safe and have a cool week. Xx❤️
Ah Mira, you're just the cutest puppy ever! And she knows it. Have a good week whatever the weather (it's pouring and cold here) xxx
She is so utterly scrumptious. I agree with you 100% that dogs improve our quality of life. When I feel really low my two always cheer me up. They are a huge part of my life. Yesterday we gave them a pawdecure . Antifungal mousse between the toes, dew claws filed and lots of paw balm on their pads to keep them soft and supple . Did they enjoy it? Not one bit they sighed heavily and rolled their eyes as if we were murdering them xx
That made me laugh a pawdecure 😂 Just cutting Mira and Beas claws you would think we were murdering them too - we have to clip a claw then give them a treat and so it goes on - both of them are really good with us cleaning their teeth though , Bea particularly suffers with a lot of plague . Give your dogs a hug 🤗 from me xx
I will do thank you. Dylan chews on his dew claws and splits them so when he jumps on me for a face snog he cuts me badly. The groomer cuts their claws I am not brave enough but I do use a glass file on their dew claws. Brodie is very overweight , my husband is a feeder and despite my best efforts he continues to overfeed, give all sorts between meals etc. His pads have spread and grit and grass seeds get under them making it excruciating for him to walk. For 22 years I have fought with him over this daily, the vets have lectured, warned, made suggestions. He is remorseful for about a week and off we go again. It is so wearing. So I try to mitigate by keeping his paws as clean and soft as they can be. Men 🤬
It’s hard isn’t it - Bea is on a diet - she is overweight to what she used to be before she had pups - we had to keep feeding her up when she was feeding the puppies to keep her milk up as she’s not a big eater - anyway I’ve cut her portions down , she actually has the same portion as Mira - she’s lost a bit of weight but it’s not coming off very quickly x
My Brodie is 28 kg and he should be 18-20. It makes me so angry. He loves them so so much but I have to watch him like a hawk. I spill so much food trying to watch him while I eat. Brodie had pancreatitis last year and the vet gave him such a stern talking to that he came out and broke down. I controlled the food and got Brodie down to 24 kg then I could not understand why he was not losing any more weight. Turns out he was sneaking him great lumps of cheese, packets of ham etc. I hope that he will see the light but he just loves them so much xx
Pancreatitis is no joke is it - Schnauzers are prone to it so we are very careful - we use Bakers rewards variety treats which are very low in fat - they smell like bacon and our 2 love them - maybe say to your husband if he feels the need to feed Brodie titbits then feed him 1 of these treats instead - it may work and also tell him again how upset you are with him as he maybe shortening Brodie’s life - good luck xx
I have tried everything. The vet said no treats so I cut up carrot and cucumber, they are on Satiety a very low fat diet food from Royal Canin and I buy a chicken once a week. I do give them a no hide chicken chew for their teeth once a week too. I weigh their food but that is not what is causing the weight it is the constant feeding whatever he has. Honestly we get on so well and the only thing we ever argue about is this. I have talked, pleaded, screamed, cried, dubbed in in to the vet nothing works. We took Brodie to a dermatologist who refused to treat Brodie as she would need to put him under general anaesthetic to look deep into his ears and felt he was too much of a risk. She said his paws are so bad because his weight has caused surplus tissue which is painful for him. He walked out of that consultation in tears. We worked together to get Brodie’s weight down for a month. He was happier, healthier but of course we went into lockdown and it is creeping back on. Sorry I am moaning about it but it makes me so angry and sad . Thanks for listening to my ranting
xx
Dogs. Are. The. Best. ❤️🐶 And Mira is super cute! Took me a sec to see her face.
I have a Cavalier King Charles and a Yorkie and I wouldn't change them for the world Daniel my King Charles is 12 and half years now and has a lot of health problems but he doesn't complain and runs around still as though he were 2 years old at times and still likes his soft toys and teddy's Toby the Yorkie is 7 years and the boss likes squeaky toys and takes his red ball to bed every night the love dogs give is invaluable I follow Mira every Monday and look forward to her pictures thank you. xx
Your dogs real little characters I would love to see a picture of them xx
I don't know how to upload pictures onto the internet but if I can find a friend who can show me I will find a picture of them for you. xx
