Hi. I hope if you’re reading this that you’re having a good day!
I have an allergy to ibuprofen, and my new consultant has prescribed Etoricoxib. I haven’t taken it yet, but today I’m in ridiculous amounts of pain and feel that I need help.
Has anyone used it and what have the benefits/any side effects been please?
Thanks in advance,
Jasmine 😊

Hi Jasmine. I take etoricoxib as ibuprofen doesn't work for me any more and has become too hard on my stomach. I've found it good as a painkiller and had no problems with it but then I don't often have issues with allergies to drugs thankfully. I take it with food to avoid any stomach pain. My Dad has also taken it but it made him really dizzy so he had to stop. I guess it just varies from person to person! Hope you get on ok with it.
Thank you for that Salzer. As you say, drugs affect people differently. I’m just hoping that it may dull my pain enough for me to feel a little more human!
Hi Jasmine , i have been taking Etoricaxib for quite a while now without any apparent side effects and i find it much easier on my stomach. I hope it works for you if you decide to take it 🌸
Thank you. I think I need to start taking it as I can’t keep on the way I am. Hopefully it won’t affect me adversely and will allow me to be a little more active 😊
