As far as I understand it you can meet one person outside. I’ve done this and feel comfortable with trusted friends, iethey wouldn’t turn up with a cough.
I am actually meeting 2 friends for a a short walk today. I spoke with my rheumatologist and agreed it was ok. It’s about taking responsibility for yourself and what you feel comfortable with. Outside there is very little risk.
We take out own chairs, flask and sandwiches and sit for a bit after our walk,
If you live by yourself you can meet up with one other person outside keeping 2m apart. Or you can now go for a walk with a member of your household once a day.
Hi Melaxx, if you received a letter or text at the beginning of lockdown asking you to shield because you are vulnerable, then you have to continue shielding. In the PM’s last 5pm briefing (last Thursday) he said that if you fall into that shielding category, nothing has changed. No forming bubbles etc. as R number is not low enough.
On the up side he did say that more information for people who were shielding would be announced this week. No idea what day, but as kidney transplant patient I’ve been stuck at home since the beginning of March so I’ll be tuning in tomorrow!
