Impetigo and lupus?

Hi all,

Hope you’re keeping well and safe

I was just wondering if anyone else had suffered from impetigo as well as having lupus?

I’ve just had my second round in the last 6 months, and I used to get it a lot when I was younger, especially stressed

Hi Cazza I too used to get it alot before been diagnoised my arms especially. They would be so sore, think it was related to the lupus as the hydroxycloriquine has helped a lot with all my skin conditions. I had eczema all my life since childhood all over body face head, hands were the worst was put endless steroid creams etc.

Since starting hydroxycloriquine all that seems to have disappeared. Still get bouts of dry skin on hands but nowhere near to what it used to be. Take care hope it gets better soon. 🙂

Hi Cazza-dow I had what looked like impetigo or skin cancer next to my bottom lip, went for biopsy & was just confirmed as lupus. It hadn't itched & didn't look like lupus spot so was relieved it wasn't impetigo or cancer. Regards gery
