You should self isolate even if you are not on medication x

Lupus inland various other medics, say yes for 12 weeks; government isn't saying anything, regards auto-immune & overactive immune systems, specifically; as far as I'm aware. Paul Howard is hoping to get the issues raised at Parliament - it seems to be a grey area. Petition has been mentioned. Hope this helps I'm in similar situation. SLE and various related conditions, have had symptoms now off immune suppressants andboral steroids just topical and pain relief , anti inflame etc. X

I've had various flares. I think they said support is coming for business, not sure when, how or how much. Unless i get clarifcation from the government, I'm not certain I would get finances either. I dont think Lupus UK can certify, i think only the government guidelines will confirm one way or the other. Its so confusing. Hope you get sorted. X

If you've had kidney problems previously then you are at even more risk. Your kidney function might be stable now but if you were to get the virus and your lupus ramped itself up them it might go for your kidneys again.

It’s not your symptoms you need to worry about it’s all those others. I believe that self employed people can claim certain benefits for sick pay. I know more information is coming so they can access statutory sick pay. It is all advisory but it is good advice and you would be worse off if you get it and a horrible complication. I say this knowing I am still at work until at least tomorrow evening. But I will then work from home.

Check with your he may know stuff.

Good luck.

I would say that for your own benefit that you should self isolate. Lupus sufferers in my opinion are high in the high risk category due to the fact that their autoimmune system attacks them The fact that you have no symptoms probably means that for now you aren’t infected but that doesn’t mean that all your passengers are infection free.

I know that for a self employed person it is a difficult decision not to go to work but money isn’t going to help you if you do become infected.

I hope that whatever decision you make that you don’t succumb to this terrible disease.

Geordie.

If you are on immunosuppressants such as Methotrexate, Azothiaprine or steroids you should most definitely self isolate. Anyone with lupus, diabetes, ulcerative colitis or crohns and all other auto immune diseases should self isolate. If you also have others in your household, regardless of their personal health, ideally they should self isolate too. In most cases this is impractical though. But it can sometimes be done.

I would self isolate now as this virus is spreading fast. Not to scare you but i would not chance it. Dont think it will be long now before we are all quarantined anyway. I also phoned doctors for advice but i dint think they no what to say. I started to self isolate today. Look after yourself. 💖
