Hi everyone,

I've just published some further updates to our article at lupusuk.org.uk/coronavirus

This update is mostly about improving clarification after some questions we've been receiving. Further updates are being worked on and will come throughout the week.

If anyone is in crisis, please contact us on 01708 731251 or email headoffice@lupusuk.org.uk and we will do our best to assist. Please note; if you have an urgent medical crisis you should contact 999 or 111 as appropriate.

Paul - terrific job. Most helpful information for lupus patients and others with associated conditioned that I have seen with regard to the coronavirus.

Hi paul

Thanks for the updates

I am confused as some information states self isolating with lupus for 12 weeks

However public health Wales talks about hand washing and social distancing but not isolation ?

Can you advice further please ?

Hi Harry19 ,

Unfortunately the guidance and recommendations are disjointed and being poorly communicated. The official guidance at the moment is that the whole population should be practicing social distancing. Those who are vulnerable (over 70s, pregnant and those with serious health conditions) should be practising more stringent measures - ie. social isolation.

We're expecting clearer guidance/communication from the NHS/PHE in the next few days.
